ILLINOIS DIVISION ELECTIONS – 2011 |
Dear Delegates, Dear Membership of the Polish American Congress,
On March 28, 2011 we will be voting again for the next President of the Polish American Congress (PAC), Illinois Division. Encouraged by a popular support, I announced nearly three months ago that again I will be running for the office of the PAC President. It is of utmost importance that I share with you my agenda to show that I am the best qualified candidate for the job, because I have ambitious ideas and bold plans that will bring the Illinois Division of the PAC to its former days of glory.
In all cases, you are welcomed to add any new ideas or to critique the ideas presented here. But please remember though, that before any of these ideas are implemented they must carefully scrutinized and agreed upon initially by the Executive Committee and later by consensus of the entire Assembly of the PAC. I think it is far better to have on a day one a pallet of ideas to choose from, rather than search for
new ideas.
Please bear in mind that both, the Polish and the American Agenda were prepared for execution at the national level. Therefore, some of the concepts cannot be readily implemented at the state level.
As an example any direct communications with the foreign governments is normally reserved only at the national level, therefore the state divisions can resort only to petitioning to the National Executive Committee for specific actions.
Let me present the key elements of my program to show that I have a reform agenda ready to rolled out on day one.

- LET’S RETURN CONGRESS TO THE GLORIOUS PAST. Check here for Polish
This my campaign flyer and it contains what I believe are the most essential initiatives which should be employed to return the Congress to its glorious days, when multitude of Poles were at the highest levels of US, state and local governments. These initiatives will not only restore once again our Polish pride and self-confidence, they will assert the leadership role of the Congress in our local communities.
- POLISH POWER OF THE “AMERICAN AGENDA” - We must create conditions to pursue the “American Dream”. We must take advantage of every opportunity which arises to in this land to improve our social, economic and political strength in the United States. We live in America, and lets conquer America by way of elder brothers. Above all, lets concentrate on building our image in the United States, not just fighting for it. Because the “American Agenda” has already a 3-year history and it has never been adopted as a formal resolution, I am including a letter to National Directors, before yet another attempt to pass was made in Phoenix, AZ in 2008.
- THE NEW AGE OF THE “POLISH AGENDA” - We must not only guard, but also proudly foster our Polish heritage and traditions. We cannot ever forget those and their families in Poland that were neglected, ostracized, or jailed by former regime, notably: WWII veterans, freedom fighters. When catastrophic disasters strike our homeland, we must be always ready to assist our Polish families.
- POLONIA OF THE WORLD AGENDA – We must act in concert with worldwide Polonia to defend our honor and our cause on the world arena and to assist Poles in the most unforgiving places like: Kazakhstan, Russian Federation of the far east. Across the centuries we thought for freedom in various parts of the world, lets unite today across the world to defend our true place in history. Let us all unite and assert our leadership position in the World of free nations. Anti-defamation actions will be lot more effective if we engage worldwide Polonia in the protests.
Such agenda should exist primarily for the benefit off the National Congress, but the State Divisions should know how to use it most effectively. I am not aware if such agenda exist at all,
but if not, then it should be developed in order for Polonia to coordinate its worldwide efforts.
- COMPREHENSIVE AGENDA FOR THE PAC ADMINISTRATION - Under Construction!!
Before becoming the commodore of the JCYC Club, one month ahead of the elections I presented
to the membership a comprehensive agenda for the next administration. That very same agenda
will be modified for the PAC. It will take many hours to make all modifications for the Congress
use, but in order not to delay the website availability, I am including it in the original form so that
you can have some idea what the contents of this section will be. When finalized the first three
agendas will be embedded in this document by reference only.
Please be cognizant of the fact that some sections of document may not apply to the Congress at all, or they may be inconsistent with the way Congress does its business, so such topics will not appear in the final document. I hope that I will not regret later, that I put this section here before the final version is available in few days.
This is a wish list of concepts and ideas grouped by topics and it must be carefully scrutinized.

MORE THAN EVER, THE CONGRESS TODAY NEEDS A RENEWAL STIMULUS, CASEY AND HIS AGENDA WILL BE THE STIMULI FOR THE CONGRESS.
